IMPULSA IGUALDAD, a non-profit organisation with a state-wide scope and declared of public utility, is dedicated to representing and developing programmes in favour of more than 100,000 people with physical disabilities.

Throughout its more than 30 years of experience, it has worked closely with its member federations ASPAYM, COAMIFICOA and ECOM, and has seven regional divisions in Andalusia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Galicia, the Balearic Islands, the Region of Murcia and the Community of Valencia.

In the field of accessible tourism, IMPULSA IGUALDAD has emerged as a key player. It chairs the Inclusive Tourism and Leisure Commission of the State CERMI and establishes accessibility protocols and criteria that are accepted by the entire disability sector.

Since 2002, IMPULSA IGUALDAD has implemented an Inclusive Tourism programme that focuses on awareness raising, training, consultancy and research on accessibility and attention to the public with diverse needs in tourism and leisure. This is done in collaboration with public entities, foundations and private companies in the sector.

This programme is considered fundamental for the standardisation of tourism for people with disabilities and accessibility needs in general. The aim is to ensure that they can enjoy the environments, products, services and cultural goods of any tourist destination, just like the rest of the population.
