The flour factory is within the emblematic industrial complex "La Alianza" The building is of great importance because it housed the first power plant in Andalusia. The factory is beautiful and functional. It is built in French style with brick walls, iron columns and wooden beams. The only turbine from 1878 is preserved inside. It was so powerful that for its operation it was necessary to divert the river bed. Currently, on the first floor it houses an exhibition that tells the revolution that electricity meant for Puente Genil as well as unpublished documentation. It is accessed by going down the street Rio de Oro, from the Plaza Nacional. There is also a parking lot nearby. The entire visit takes place on a single level. This text was automatically translated.
