The Church of Nossa Senhora do Castelo is built on top of the hill of the same name, on the site of the old fortified settlement from the Iron Age and later Romanized. It was inaugurated with the enthronement of the image of Nossa Senhora do Castelo, in 1832. Composed of two bodies, the central nave and the presbytery, the crenellated tower of the main façade stands out, which, at 38 meters, rises towards the clouds. Crowning the hill, the hermitage integrates the sanctuary formed by the staircase and the adjacent chapels, built in the 18th century, with a baroque appearance.
