Located in Coimbra, in a 2500 m2 complex, the Exploratório is assumed as an entity for the promotion of scientific culture for the Central Region. With two decades of existence, it was, in 1995, the first scientific center created in Portugal, integrating the Network of Ciência Viva Centers since its creation in 1998, which today has 19 units throughout the country.
