Inaugurado em Novembro de 1994, este Museu foi instalado na antiga Fábrica das Sedas. A coleção é composta por obras significativas de Maria Helena Vieira da Silva e do seu marido Arpad Szenes, abrangendo as principais fases evolutivas das suas carreiras, assim como documentos relacionados com a sua vida. Em exposição permanente estão 81 obras. São igualmente apresentadas exposições temporárias de artistas que partilharam afinidades artísticas com Arpad Szenes e Vieira da Silva ou que com eles conviveram. Desenvolvem ainda um projeto piloto - UM MUSEU PARA TODOS onde disponibilizam modelos tridimensionais, guiões e plantas em braille, entre outras experiências sensoriais, mediante marcação prévia.
