The Church of St. Peter Martyr of Verona is in neoclassical style and was part of a former Dominican convent founded in 1575. The temple was closed to worship in the mid-nineteenth century and shortly after it collapsed. Only the exterior walls, the belfry and two doorways were preserved. From 2006 to 2014 it has been restored and the lost elements have been rebuilt. It has a Latin cross plan and the central nave, its vaults made of wood and the transept stand out. The Cristo de la Misericordia de Pedro Muñoz de Toro, Ntro. Padre Jesús Orando en el Huerto and an image of San Juan Pablo II that presides over the columbarium in the basement of the church are venerated in this temple. It has several accesses. Its accessible entrance is from the facade to the Curados street. This text was automatically translated.
