El museo está enfrente del Estadio de Fútbol de El Molinón. Puedes llegar en autobús urbano y en coche propio. El museo tiene 3 edificios principales y otros más pequeños. La entrada es por el antiguo Pabellón de Asturias en la Exposición Universal de Sevilla de 1992. Es de cristal y acero.
