Building built from 1887 and inaugurated in 1890 by the designer José Juvêncio da Silva. The inspiration for these new town halls is based on the Lisbon Municipal Palace, built approximately 30 years earlier. Within the infrastructure you can see an imposing atrium, a noble hall for ceremonial reasons, the Dr. Teófilo Carvalho dos Santos room, with political utility (municipal meetings) and a dome that allows a beautiful view over the historic buildings of the town of Alenquer.
