El parque es uno de los parques más grandes del mundo dentro de una ciudad. Está protegido como Parque Natural. Está junto al parque de atracciones del Tibidabo y entre los ríos Besós y Llobregat. Dentro del parque está la Torre de telecomunicaciones de Collserola y el Barrio de Collserola. El parque tiene un edificio de información al visitante de 3 plantas. Solo la planta baja está abierta al público.
