| A Praia foi visitada na época balnear de 2018| Distinguida com o galardão Bandeira Azul sucessivamente desde 2002, praia com “Qualidade de Ouro” desde 2004 e Praia Acessível desde 2007, foi ainda finalista das 7 Maravilhas – Praias de Portugal na categoria Praias de Dunas. Aqui encontra-se um areal contíguo a um sistema dunar que se estende até aos pinhais característicos da região. A presença contígua de antigas lagoas, agora transformadas em campos agrícolas e arrozais, confere a esta praia uma diversidade de paisagens únicas e biodiversidade muito própria e rica.
