The origins of Can Traver, one of the historic farmhouses in the village of Bigues, located within the municipality of Bigues i Riells, date back to 1791. It has thus stood for four centuries. For more than 170 years, it served as a farmhouse, until 1967, when it began operating as a restaurant. Since then, the farmhouse has been carefully expanded and restored to meet new needs, while retaining its essence as a traditional Catalan manor house. The Can Traver restaurant is a rustic estate—a typical Catalan manor house—featuring outdoor terraces and views of an idyllic natural setting, highlighted by the Bertí cliffs. The facilities include various rooms and dining areas for celebrations of all kinds. All of this is underpinned by a culinary style that bridges the gap between tradition and innovation, between regional and Mediterranean cuisine. You’ll be able to savor exquisite dishes. A restaurant with a warm, family-friendly, and welcoming atmosphere where traditional Catalan cuisine takes center stage—rooted in respect for its origins and built on locally sourced, top-quality ingredients—along with attentive, dedicated service and the family-like atmosphere that is so essential to us.
