Solar do Alvarinho was inaugurated on August 8, 1997. Its appearance came to respond to various needs related to the defense, promotion and dissemination of Alvarinho Wine, leveraged the development and dynamization of the rural environment, the incentive to the production and commercialization of the Alvarinho wine, the dissemination and promotion of local handicrafts and other typical products, as well as the dissemination of the region's traditional and cultural roots. Note: The original building is under construction, and the Solar is temporarily occupying the former Melgaço Volunteer Fire Station, in Alameda Inês Negra (4960-561 Melgaço). (automatic translation).
