| Automatic Translation | Accidentally identified at the end of 1987, they are located in the historic center of the city, in the atrium of the Évora City Council building. Several spaces and different construction phases were identified, highlighting the Roman thermal building, the Laconicum, sudatorium or sudatio – circular room. Attached, oriented to the south, is the furnace zone, designated as praefurnium. In the backyard, although not visible, is the open-air swimming pool. After the last intervention was completed, it was possible to identify what remains of a circular section that, due to its characteristics, resembles the laconicom space, possibly being a cold bath room – frigidarium. It is currently one of the most visited monuments in the city.
